LAST PROJECT EVER!!!

My photographer was Lewis Baltz.

My favorite thing about him was that he was really into finding beauty in destruction and the ugliest things, and putting that kind of perspective on a picture is what really made me excited to emulate some of his pictures.

Project 13: Free-4-All x2

Personally, I like taking landscapes (particularly green and wet ones) and just street-life type photos (like candids). Basically, I like taking photos that portray the vibes of the place I am in and kind of all around capture the culture/feelings of the situation.

My friend’s brother who is now in college was and still is obsessed with photography. He was the photographer for his school and he even created this glow orb thing to be the subject of his photos. His photos are so good that his living room has an entire wall dedicated to blown up pictures he has taken. It is now like an art gallery. When I was younger, I would bring over my dolls and he would teach me how to use the camera to capture the “essence”of the dolls. We would go out at golden hour and take really cool model shots of the dolls. He was the reason I got into photography, and he is the person who inspired me to experience a whole new world of art.

Project 13: Narratives

The first story is of a boy who started to blow up a balloon, but then it popped.

The second story is of a dog who at first is causing mischief, but when it realizes there is a treat, it acts super cute and adorable and sits nicely.

Also, the second one has  4 pictures. Is that okay?

PS 12: Repent

On one the good and bad ones are reversed…

Project 11: Composites

1. I do see myself doing these in the future, just because they are fun and surprisingly easy. You can create a fantasy and make it look real without too much effort, and I think my cousins and friends would love it if I made these for them.

2. Sort of. I wanted someone taking shelter under a giant book, and it worked, but I feel like it didn’t blend as well as it could have.

Project 9: Alphabasis

Reflection

  1. Yes, all of my photos were cropped to 800 x 800 pixels.
  2. I found implied letters more interesting because it showed me that if you look closely, there is a lot more to nature than meets the eye, and also it required more creativity, which made it fun.
  3. The point of this assignment was to take a unique picture of a letter to show us that, with a little creativity, endless pictures of something that seems impossible is possible.
